Quiz - Chapter 2 Matter

You may use: MT Tech Periodic Table, AP Periodic Table (green), Common Formulas Sheet (orange)

  1. Go to the online textbook. Click on Chapter 2. Click "A Closer Look at Matter".

      • Flagging a question: If you are unsure about your answer, click the flag and answer the question to the best of your ability. The flags show up on my screen so I can see if there are topics that people are unsure of.

      • Submitting: Don't forget to submit your answers when you finish.

      • Reviewing: You will have a chance to look at all your answers after you submit. Each question has a recommended section to review if you miss it - take time to review them.

  2. Retake?

      • You cannot retake the quiz outside of this room. The quiz time-stamps attempts so please do not work on it outside of the classroom.

      • If you have time, you are welcome to retake during class but it must be finished in class - you cannot continue a quiz outside of class time

      • Or schedule a time to retake the quiz.

      • Data collection:

          • Burn Time: Collect your own data with your own device

Optional Reading and Review

  • What is "Optional Review"? Assigned readings like the one l assigned above are not optional because they either cover new material or they reinforce topics you need to have to move forward. The "Optional Reviews" are recommended reading to review material covered in Chemistry 1. They are optional because they cover topics that we learned in detail in Chemistry 1 so we are not going to spend class time reviewing them. Spend time in the sections that you need review/clarification and don't spend time on the sections you are comfortable with.
